You can display each attendee's, speaker's, or exhibitor's own unique promo code automatically on their poster. This article walks through setting that up, from storing the code against each profile to pulling it into the poster design.

Step 1: Add a Promo Code field to your registration form

Before you can associate a promo code with an attendee, speaker, or exhibitor, it needs to exist as a piece of profile information you're collecting.

1. Go to the “Attendees” tab, then open “Registration Form.”

2. Click “+ Question” to add a new field, and name it “Promo Code.”

3. Mark the field as hidden. This keeps it out of the form your guests fill out themselves, since you'll be entering promo codes on their behalf rather than collecting them directly.

Step 2: Import your promo codes

With the field in place, you're ready to bring in the actual codes.

4. Import your attendee, speaker, or exhibitor data as usual, including a column with each person's promo code.

5. On the “Map your columns” screen, map that CSV column to the “Promo Code” field.

If you don't see Promo Code listed as a field to map to, add it in the registration form first (Step 1), then re-import.

Step 3: Add a text widget to your poster

6. Open the poster creator for the relevant category (e.g., Speaker or Attendee).

7. Click “+ Widget” to open the widget gallery.

8. Under “Design elements,” select “Text” to add a new text widget to your poster.

Step 4: Link the text widget to the promo code

9. With the new text widget selected, update its Value to something like “Promo Code” as a placeholder.

10. Under “Prefill from data,” select “Promo Code” from the dropdown.

The text box will now automatically pull in each person's own promo code from their profile when their poster is generated, no manual editing needed per poster.
